Father's Day Ideas

Father's Day presents a great opportunity to show your father how
much you love and care for him. Traditionally, on Father's Day you
might give your special dad a nice meal and some type of a gift to
celebrate all that he does or has done for you. One especially
thoughtful Father's Day gift is a gift basket that has been tailored
to all of his particular likes. Here are some ideas for making
Father's Day gift baskets extra special.
One way to make your Father's Day gift especially memorable is to
build a gift basket around a particular theme. You will want to
think of sports or hobbies that your father enjoys, because any of
them might make a great gift basket theme.
If your father is a baseball fan, you could focus a gift basket
around that sport. Include such items as a baseball cap from his
favorite team, and a pennant. Gift wrapping the basket, including
colorful ribbons and bows, in the team colors will all go toward
making a favorable impression on your dad.
Maybe your father loves to spend his free time out in the garage
or workshop making woodworking projects, or working on an
automobile. These activities would make super gift basket themes as
well. You could put some small chisels, planers, sand paper, screws
and nails into the woodworker's basket. Wrenches, as well as car
wash and wax would be an excellent choice for the auto enthusiast.
Favorite magazines on either topic would also be welcomed by your
father, and make a great addition to a gift basket for him.
If your father loves to travel, you could put together a regional
gift basket based on a place he has visited. If he loves France,
you could include a French cookbook, a small French flag and
postcards along with French favorites such as an assortment of
olives, anchovies, even truffles and wine for which the country is
famous.
If your father enjoys cooking, gourmet Father's Day gift baskets
would be in order. If he is a barbecue lover, your basket could
consist of varieties of gourmet barbecue sauces and culinary brushes
for their application, as well as a colorful pair of hot pads and a
barbecue cookbook.
Every dad loves to take time out to
relax. Why not give your
father a great spa gift basket, and be sure to include luxury items
such as scented soaps, shampoos, body sponges, scented candles and a
neck pillow so he can enjoy his time in the tub. Personalized
Father's Day gifts are always appropriate because they show that you
took the time and put the thought into a great gift for your father
on his special day.
